Middlesbrough Football were formed in 1876 and have played at the Riverside Stadium since August 1995, their third ground since turning professional in 1889. The club's main rivals are Newcastle United and Sunderland.  The club's traditional kit colour is red, with a varying amount of white. The current club crest incorporates a red lion and the official mascot is Roary the Lion.
